| Some big news this week! On Tuesday, a conservative majority was seated on the Chariho School Committee. The Forgotten Taxpayers PAC is proud of the service of ‘team conservative.’ The newly elected members are Dianne Tefft (Hopkinton) and Laura Chapman (Charlestown). They joined seated conservatives Tyler Champlin, Polly Hopkins, and Larry Phelps – all from Hopkinton and Pat Pouliot from Richmond. As you know Louise Dinsmore and Clay Johnson did not win seats on the School Committee on November 5th. However, finishing 3rd and 4th put them both in line to fill any Richmond vacancies. One vacancy has now opened up. A big thank you to the two years of service by Kathryn Colasante. Kathryn has been a determined fighter for the truth. You can count on her decisions to be based on facts and reason. Tuesday was her last meeting on the school committee; she is leaving to tend to some personal commitments. Her departure was unexpected, but we support her decision. |
| On Wednesday, our fearless leader here at the Forgotten Taxpayers, Louise Dinsmore, was sworn in as the newest member of the Chariho School Committee. Louise was sworn into office by Ron Machtley, her former boss. Mr. Machtley served as a Republican congressman from Rhode Island from 1989 to 1995. He is known as a gentleman and an advocate for collaborative solutions. Louise is stepping into the remaining term vacated by Kathryn which lasts through November 2026. |
| With Louise’s new role starting soon, she will be leaving as Chair of the Forgotten Taxpayers. Clay Johnson will be assuming the responsibilities of Chair. As we end 2024… Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Wishing you all a healthy and prosperous 2025! |
